Crannmor Country Guest House
Dunderry Rd, Trim, County Meath, Ireland

I spent my first night in Ireland at Crannmor Country Guest House, a Georgian house that was built in 1825.

My hostess made me a sandwich when I got in. We sat in the garden and she told me a little about the house and the area.

New Lambs

New Lambs

She pointed out a fox that was trying to get a newborn lamb. This Irish fox looked much bigger than the foxes we have here in North Carolina. Before we could do anything at all, the sheep gathered to protect the lamb.

Crannmor House was not difficult to get to from the Dublin Airport, which was a good thing because I hadn’t come to my senses and got a GPS yet. It is near Trim on the Dunderry road. (If you are in Dunderry, this is the Trim road.)

Crannmor House is a Georgian house that was built in 1825. It was a great introduction to Ireland. My hosts were very hospitable. The house was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had been shoehorned in, but had everything you need.

I was astonished how tiny the TV was, but found most of my rooms on the rest of my visit had no TV at all.

The television had programming in Gaelic. This is a little blurry. I recorded it with a camera.
