Portbraddon is a tiny hamlet on White Park Bay, on the Antrim Coast between Giant\u2019s Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. \u00a0Brad\u00e1n is the Gaelic word for salmon. So Portbraddan is Salmon Port. It used to be a salmon fishing station. \u00a0The local church, St. Gobbans, is said to be the smallest church in Ireland. It was built in 1950s as a cow byre. A byre is what we call a shed or barn here in the States. It is only 10\u2019 x \u00a04\u2019.<\/p>\n
