Maple Leaf Guest House<\/strong>
\n Cork Road, Windgap, Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maple Leaf Bed and Breakfast is on the Cork Road in an area near\u00a0Dungarvan called Windgap. Windgap overlooks the estuary of the River Brickey, the Cunnigar, a 2 mile sandbar at the mouth of Dungarvan Bay, across to the lighthouse on Ballinacourty Point.
\n<\/p>\n

Dungarvan was only three hours from Rathcoole and Dublin. It was a beautiful drive down the coast on the M11. Now that I had a GPS, it was very easy to find. I explored some side roads.<\/p>\n

Comfortable beds, one for me and one for my suitcase.<\/p><\/div>\n

My favorite part about staying at Maple Leaf was the heated bed. Ireland can be cold and damp. I was still awfully sore from the car wreck, so I just went to sleep as soon as I got in. After a nap, I unpacked a little. My room had two beds, so I spread out all my stuff on the other one. I was still hoping my phone charger would be in there somewhere. (No\u2026 definitely in the car when they towed it away.)<\/p>\n

Then I took a walk.<\/p>\n

The view from the windows was staggeringly beautiful. It looked across toward a lighthouse. Every time the sky and tide changed, the view changed.<\/p>\n

The B&B was everything you need. Everything was very clean and comfortable, but it was like staying in someone\u2019s spare bedroom. My bath was across the hall. It kinda felt like the kids had been sent to elsewhere so I could have their room.<\/p>\n

Maple Leaf Bed and Breakfast is on a very quiet road, surrounded by trees, fields, flowers and farms.<\/p>\n

Cork Road at Windgap was much wider than many of the roads I was on in Ireland.<\/p>\n

Cork Road winds around, overlooking the River Brickey estuary and Dungarvan Bay. The view kept changing, so I took dozens of photos. But, the photos just don’t look that different.<\/p>\n
