Hollymount House was the most modern place I stayed in Ireland. It was very comfortable. Breakfast was huge and spectacular. And available earlier than many other places. The shower was superhot, once I learned how to heat the water.

Hollymount House is convenient to Cahir Castle, Swiss Cottage and a lot of other things you want to see when you are in Ireland.<\/p>\n

Electric shower heats the water in the shower as you need it.<\/p><\/div>\n

My bathroom was across the hall. I had a really quick cold shower. Then Margaret Neville, my hostess, told me how the shower works.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t just turn on the water. You have to turn on the electricity that heats the water. This thing contains a heating element that heats the water as it runs through it.<\/p>\n

\"Sheep<\/a>

The house is only a few miles from Cahir Castle and Swiss Cottage, up the mountain, overlooking the town, surrounded by wildflowers, woods and sheep. Really, everything in Ireland was surrounded by sheep. And lambs. Adorable baby lambs.<\/p>\n
